This savory bread is full of flavor and according to Michele from Cuisine D’amour, it is so easy to make and a great appetizer pleaser!
- 150 ml white wine
- 100 ml olive oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 250g (2 1/2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 150 g gruyere cheese (shredded)
- 100 g bacon (optional/ diced)
- 200 g turkey (diced)
- 100 g green olives (chopped)
- 100 g black olives (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons dried/fresh oregano
First preheat your oven at 180° C.
Heat a small skillet and cook the diced bacon (optional) until golden crispy. Set aside to cool.
Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients separately. Fold together with a fork, just until everything is combined. You can mix the crispy bacon (optional) with the rest of ingredients, or choose to leave them for the end to put on top of your bread just before you bake it.
Pour into a buttered loaf pan or covered with parchment paper. You can also use a muffin pan for individual bites.
Bake for about an hour or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean!
Serve this delicious bread at room temperature with a mayo, mustard and paprika dip!
